Karen Gibson


One of the country's most noted and experienced gospel tutors; Karen Gibson has been involved with vocal groups, soloists and choirs for over 20 years.

Karen facilitates choirs and conducts gospel workshops worldwide.  Workshop delegates have numbered anywhere between 20 and 1000.

Amongst other projects, Karen runs two gospel choirs, the award-winning Kingdom Choir (www.kingdomchoir.co.uk) and youth choir, UPC.

Highlights of Karen's career include directing a 3000-voice choir at the Royal Albert Hall and conducting the Kingdom Choir at Buckingham Palace during the procession at the Queen's Jubilee. 

She takes great pride in her work with young people.    





Emmanuel Waldron - Music Director

Emmanuel's musical journey began at the age of just 6 when, through private tuition , he was introduced to classical music.  Over the next 8 years, he developed a range of techniques from classical to gospel, to jazz and blues, R&B and soul to folk, discovered he had perfect pitch, and with frequent opportunities in his local church and other venues, developed in his ability to play the piano (solo) in public.

Having worked with a wealth of artistes and bands, this enable Emmanuel to experiment and develop his improvisation and spontaneity, producing the flair and diversity that have become his hallmark.

His music has taken him all around the world.

Emmanuel is also a producer and will release his impromptu sophomore solo piano project 'Still Waters' in September 2009.  He also produced his own debut solo piano album 'Portrait of a Journey' (2000) and the GEM award winning album 'Lifter of My Head' from talented songwriter & artist Brian Martin.

Emmanuel  teaches and conducts workshops both in the UK and abroad.
 




Ruth Waldron - Choir Director

At the age of 3, Ruth became familiar with gospel songs and harmonies whilst attending rehearsals at her church, The Peoples Christian Fellowship.  As the years rolled on Ruth developed her singing as a member of her church youth choir and also her school choir, which was started by The London Community Gospel Choir.

 At age 14, Ruth’s had opportunities to work and learn from leading gospel influences such as David Daniel, a distinguished gospel award winning soloist and by singing in professional gospel choirs such as The Visual Ministries.  Singing with such groups led to touring around the British Isles and the USA, and has subsequently sung in numerous countries. Ruth broadened her musical horizons by working and singing on various radio and TV shows, one of her most memorable experiences was singing on and presenting for Granada TV’s “What’s It All About?”.  A televised production of Handel’s Messiah gave her the opportunity to sing backing vocals for Chaka Khan.  The production also involved artists such as Gladys Knight, Ayden Quinn and more.

 Ruth has devoted the last 8 years to teaching and building artists, as well as singing on albums such as: Global Zammar,  Across The Line England’s Gospel selection, A new contemporary gospel project to be released “Seven”, Power Praise’s “The King Is coming”, Visual Ministries “Visually Speaking”, The People’s Christian Fellowship’s “Praise Comes First”  

She is currently concentrating on her own talent as a soloist and continues to develop courses for individuals and groups through her company Real Express.  She believes that the gift she’s been given isn’t just to help people sound good but also to help develop good character and relationships, which in turn will strengthen the community.
